360 Degree Film "Normandy's 100 Days" had 311,419 Moviegoers in 2014!
Frederic Lumiere's new film "Normandy's 100 Days" which shows in 360 degrees on 9 screens 16 times a day in Arromanches, France (Normandy's Gold Beach) had a significant increase in ticket sales after its launch.
The film which was directed and edited by Frederic Lumiere is composed of archival films stiched together in a 360 degree experience. It also has stunning animated maps and a 9.3 surround sound mix.
Stéphane Grimaldi, the director of the Memorial of Caen presented to elected officials the report. The visitorship has increased significantly since Frederic Lumiere's new film was premiered in Feb 2014 with 311, 419 moviegoers (107 039 more than in 2012). In 2014, the 70th anniversary of D-DAY 55% of visitors were from another country but France.
