Lumiere to Present on 360°, 13k Filmmaking at HPA Tech Retreat

Frederic Lumiere will Present his 360° Film at the Hollywood Post Alliance on Thursday February 20th.

The Hollywood Post Alliance is hosting its 20th annual Tech Retreat at the Hyatt Regency in Palm Springs, California on February 17-21st. The event brings together the industry’s top talent from all aspects of digital-cinema, post-production, film, television, video, and related technologies. The focus of this year’s retreat will be IP, color and digital cinema. Leading experts in the industry will be hosting a variety of round table discussions and panels highlighting new techniques, technologies, and innovations.

On Thursday, February 20th, Frederic Lumiere of Lumiere Media, Inc. (Doylestown, PA), will be presenting to the over 300 organizations in attendance, including Google, Pixar, and Disney. Lumiere’s presentation titled ‘360-degree 13k Using Only Archival Footage’ examines the groundbreaking, nine screen panoramic film comprised entirely of archive footage that Lumiere directed and edited. The installation was produced by Lumiere Media for the Arromanches 360 Theater in Caen. Normandy’s 100 Days is projected 18 times daily and is the only film running in the unique theater: ARROMANCHES 360. The venue immerses audiences in a full 360-degree experience of D-Day to the liberation of Paris.
