Dismayed Composer Whose Music Was Used In Mccain Campaign Ad Releases New Pro Obama Ad Called “The Future”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Composer Of Medal Of Honor Music Which Was Used In A Mccain Campaign Ad Without His Consent Released A New Pro Obama Video Called “The Future”

DOYLESTOWN, PA, Oct. 30 ?When a recent ad for John McCain’s presidential campaign featured music from “Medal of Honor: European Assault”, the composer Christopher Lennertz (20th Century Fox’s Alvin and the Chipmunks) who doesn't own the rights to the piece was less than thrilled mainly because he is an avid Obama supporter.  In response, he joined forces with Filmmaker Frederic Lumiere to produce an ad of their own – supporting Barack Obama featuring one of his most inspirational pieces of music which he owns.

The ad is called “The Future” and it can be viewed on Youtube:

"While the McCain campaign did not violate any laws in the use of my music, I feel that there is a moral obligation in cases of politics and policy to research and use the works of artists that support the candidates' message. By not doing so, there is the implication that the artist then supports the platform that their music or visuals are being used to promote...and that is not the case. That said, I'm thrilled to have my music used for "The Future" in support of Sen. Obama. I feel his views for the country are those that offer the best chance to strengthen America and lead us in the right direction. I'm proud that my music can be part of his inclusive and uplifting message" says Christopher Lennertz, Music Composer of “The Future”.

“Every filmmaker strives to translate their passion into their work and hopes to find subject matters that inspires them to fuel that passion.  With “The Future” I was very lucky because not only does Barack inspire me like no other politician has before but so did Christopher’s music.  It’s the perfect match and viewers seem to respond overwhelmingly, from the left, center and the right.”

Frederic and Christopher are currently collaborating on a History Channel series called WWII HD due in 2009.
